    Question Oakley Police Discount

I've heard about the Oakley discount for police and military but I was wondering if its on all products they have (shirts, shoes, hats), or just the main ones (sunglasses, boots)? That question isn't really answered on their govt website. Also do any of you have this discount and how do you like it?

    https://secure.usstandardissue.com/FAQS.cfm

Feel free to actually read what's on the website.

If an item is not listed on www.Usstandardissue.com can I still order it?
If the item is not listed on our web site, then unfortunately it is unavailable to purchase through our program.

Just call them dude, they'll be able to tell you exactly when it's going to ship if it's on back order!

Hate to put it this way skippy, buy every night I suit up and climb in the cruiser I'm at war. I'm always outnumbered, potentially out gunned and always behind enemy lines.

They are slow shipping, but I think the price is worth it. Besides, I can just drive down there and pick up my order....

How are the prices? They don't list any on the site.

So all you have to send them is a copy of your ID after you fill out the app?

I've seen a few people, however, who weren't able to get the approval. Something regarding levels of government (Fed, State, local...).

I'm looking forward to finally being able to get a little bit of a discount from them once I'm sworn. I hope it goes through...

Are the gloves listed on the site puncture resistant (needles, etc)? I picked up a set of shooting specific oaks this weeked at the mall and they had a set of the gloves on display but the people there couldnt answer if they were puncture resistant.

I bookmarked this site, I'm going to be starting a PD academy pretty soon, so when I get my PPO Id after I graduate or whenever they give it to us, I just fill out the form and send them a copy of my Id like they ask and that's all?

Well worth the wait. Mine came in about 3 weeks from the time I ordered so it seems to be the standard wait time. I bought the M-Frame Strike 3-pak in Dark, Persimmon and Clear. Virtually three pairs of Oakleys for 100 bucks. Can't beat that with a stick. Tis the perfect combo for the motorcycle and this was cheaper than the "made for riding" crap goggles/glasses I usually end up with.

I've already bought two pair of square wires with Polarized lenses ($105 each pair including shipping). I love them...

I bought two polarized pair for about $225. I had to wait about three to four weeks. The wait was well worth it. I still wear both pair and neither of them have scratched yet.
