Act 120 certification and reciprocity with other states.

Anyone know of any states that accept any of the training we go through in the act 120 training? I'm looking to expand the areas I can apply to and still have the advantage of being able to get on the street with minimal cost to the department. I've heard MD accepts some of the training but I'm not positive if that is true. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Delaware did accept Act 120. You would need to check out the various states POST/MPO training certification to see if they would accept your 120 without any time on the job.
I don't work - I merely inflict myself upon the public.

    MD and FL

MD and FL both accepted it. In MD I had to attend a 3 week comparative compliance course. FL had a 80 hour course followed by a state exam.

    Good Luck

You'll have a very hard time getting hired without street time. All depts I've seen offer a lateral with at least 2 years on the street.

"can apply to and still have the advantage of being able to get on the street with minimal cost to the department. "

Just wondering why you would worry about the cost to the department?

i've found it's a good selling point for smaller departments.
