    Property Protection agents MTA

    whats the job like?
    are they armed?

    They are not armed, they sit in a booth all day and check the ID's of transit employees entering the property. Pretty boring job the only perk is that if yo like the NYCTA you can see all of the different property. Here's the civil service flyer link so you can check it out

    I have a friend who's a Property Protection Agent. Says the job is verrry slow, but it pays well, according to him. They have a weird looking shield too.

    The current uniform patch is the one to the right. The one to the left is the old, defunct NYC Transit Police Revenue Protection Division (protected the revenue collection agents who collected the tokens from turnstiles).

    How long does it take for them (DCAS) to get back to you? I recently took exam 8007.
