    pic request - AR15 break down/cleaning

For my speech class I am doing an informative speech on how to strip down and clean an AR-15. Obviously I can't bring in my rifle so I want to make a hand out.

I don't know if it was on this site or not, but someone did a huge break down with pictures on cleaning an AR. I just would like these pictures. Or if one of you have some pictures that look nice and presentable.

This should be fun considering my teacher is so far left wing, and anti firearms it is hard to be in the class. Oh ya she is a HUGE Obama fan!

    Thanks in advance.

The link in my sig has LOTS of pictures. It should help.

Do you have any SPECIFIC picture needs?

I am really looking for step by step pictorial breakdowns that I can explain to a class.

I saw that someone had a link to him explaining cleaning with a bunch of pics that included products. But I don't remember where I saw it.

Here is how my speech is going to go.

A brief history lesson of the rifle, a little about the evolution. Then go into stripping down the rifle and the cleaning process I go through.

I need the to be as thorough in my pictures, because I have to put this in the most remedial recruit speak I can. Like I said I would like this to be as nice as possible, so thats why I want pics from people so they are closer in size.

Also, I'm not passing anything off for a project. The speech is the project, the hand out is my idea. Its probably just going to be thrown away. I can see how my first comment can be misconstroud that way. I figured putting a handout together would be better than drawing pictures on the board.

    Try this
It's a piece by piece guide.

If you need better "printer friendly" pictures, go here, at the bottom of the page you can click on the part and you'll get a larger image of said part.

I'm borrowing my friends AR and was looking for the same kind of thing. Try this:

Why not just break yours down and take photos of the process. Darn kids these days. Do your own homework.

    Surf you crack me up.

The maunual I got with my AR is about as worthless as T.O.A.B.H. With that in mind, I appreciate his post and all the others on tearing down an AR. Only thing I've had trouble with is the 'D' ring. Is there a special tool or have I got 'sissy' hands?

I thought being a liberal was the 'PRIMARY' requirement for getting tenure at a college or university.

Thanks for all the help. I ended up taking my own pictures and printing them out.

Funny you should mention that, my comm book had pictures of the Hildabeast, Obama, Jon Stewart interviewing Joe Lieberman, senator Boxer D-Cali, and just some people burning the American flag The rest of the pics are just the normal school book pictures.

    Thanks again guys/gals!!!!

I learned a long time ago never to mess with old farts. (FOGs)

Fortunately I also learned that if you are going to mess with them, make sure you can at least out run them
