    Average age of police officers???

What is the average age of police officer/Deputies/Troopers in your department. In my station the average ages range from 22 - 30. Is this the same in the US? Do you find that police officers are getting younger??

That was about right in my Dept with it being closer to 25-30. I have found that if a guy remains an officer past the five year mark he is more than likely to remain a cop. One that has been there 10 years usually always stays.

My department has gotten a lot younger. The average age when I started was probably 45-50, now it's around 35 or so.

I think 23-40 on the road. 45-60 in the 'court house', lol. We have like 600 deputies so we have all ages. We have one deputy in civil process that looks 85, but I never asked anyone how old he is for sure.
Bad Boys, Bad Boys, whatcha gonna do when i come for you?
