Welcome to the community. My grandmother was from vienna. Fled to switzerland after the war in 1946. I've got to get back to vienna soon. it's a wonderful city.
Yeah, you´re right, it´s a beautiful city, some dark areas, but the 1st district is really impressive, simply wonderful architecture! never been to berne, but i heard it´s a beautiful city too, but way more expensive :-)
The most beautiful city i´ve ever been to! Spent 4 days there 3 years ago with my girlfriend, man, it´s such a impressive city, and i especialy liked to thousands of differents snack, cakes, and tartes you can eat there. gotta go there soon again, think about a trip on july 4th to see the big parade.
I also got to see the banlieues around the city, respect to you and your fellow officers, you´re doing a good job in this hostile enviroment! Just watched a few episodes of 90 enquetes, impressive how you deal with these s***bags!
Cool Yes it's a nice city to visit, but to live.. it's not the same lol
A lot of work, difficult but I love my job then it doesn't matter.
I never go in Austria, but I know you have beautiful citys too, Wien, Salzburg, Graz and the land of Tyrol etc.
If you come in Paris in July and if i'm in Paris at this moment (I'll be in vacancies and may be outside of France) may be we will meet together In July it's interessant because there are our national feste "14th July" and the end of the "Tour de France"

I think every city has got its dark areas. even berne at least berne isn't as expensive as zurich
Last year I served a swiss warrant for not paying the fine for a few traffic violations, commited by an austrian inhabitant in zurich, since that time i know how expensive it is there! I swear, i´ve never seen such a high fine before, never. i understood the guy refused to pay an chose to go to jail instead :-)

you're right. traffic fines are ridiculously high over here. that's why i prefer to work in the city of berne and not on the highway.
Hey and hello!
Good to see (read) more german speaking countries here. Have been in vienna 3 years ago...
And one night I got lost in the "Bermuda triangle"
