I just wanted to see if anyone who applied for the NASA 1811 in Huntsville got notice yet that they were referred to the selecting official? My application status still just says, “Resume received.”
I am currently a FLEO with one of the land management agencies so I have experience applying to positions that have 1000+ applicants--still I know I am a long shot. I take every opportunity to work a case over patrolling and I know I'm better suited as an 1811, so here's to dreaming big.
Did I mention I like interviewing, analyzing information and even writing reports?
I'm already an 1811 and never hear back. the announcement usually mentions that term NASA employees are eligible so I am sure they get some of the spots.
I applied for the Computer Crimes 1811 opening @ JPL Pasadena early last year. I received a direct E-Mail from the RAC and had a phone interview. I later found out that I did not have enough Time in grade to qualify for the position so I was removed from the referral list. Since then I have applied for the opening here in Long Beach and now have the time in grade...we'll see what happens.
Good luck this go-around! What was the time frame from when the job closed to when you got the email from the RAC? In USAjobs did the status of your app chance from resume received to referred?
I went through the interview process two weeks ago. But didn't make it to the second round. The four individuals that did make it to the second round was three lawyers and a contracting officer.

Are you referring to the position in Huntsville? I applied to that one as well (sorry for the late response). Never heard anything from them other than "application received".
Yes i'm referring to the one in Huntsville,AL. It felt good to go through the interview process. But I can't beat a lawyer when it comes to special agent jobs.

Well... damn! Guess I'll have to keep looking. Thanks for the info.
