I spoke to them earlier this year and HR said that they have enough deputies, but are always accepting applications for the future. Not sure about now. Heard it's a decent agency with a great Sheriff.

Incorrect, the website shows one thing, but reality is different. BCSO is taking applications, but fully staffed.

I'll keep you posted on what I hear... We're still filling slots off the last batch of applications. We've hired 10 in the last 6 months. Not positive on how many slots we have left.

Replied in other thread with detailed explanation. Don't sweat it. You'll be fine.

    Thanks.

ArmyDiver, any idea how many spots they're looking to fill? Any sort of mini-academy before FTO?

Not sure if they still do an "orientation" type thing for a few weeks before FTO. Basic info about agency policy, agency specific forms and affidavits, and then the obvious qualifications and certifications such as fcic, defensive tactics, etc. I would assume so.

As for slots, it's hard to say... it varies by who you ask. Last I heard, they gave 70 conditionals for 15 slots... good luck.
