    Reminton 870 express synthetic v Maverick 88

Theres a sale on both at our local store here??
Which would you go for?? I've already got an 88, familar with 870 from work, but have read middling reviews of the synthetics?

Either of these guns will have a knoxx stock added for the wife thus the second purchase.Well what do we go for?

I have an 870 with the synthetic stock and charging handle (I can't think of the name off hand. I have been playing with the AR more then the shot gun lately). I like a lot. I have no issues with it. I would go with the 870 hands down.

Thanks guys, I'm thinking the same. Opinions from professionals appreciated as always.

A good sling and a quality foreend light should be a priority as well.

I can't stand my 870. I have never abused it and have always cleaned and oiled it after use. Last few times I have shot it it has been giving me double feeds on the final shell. I want a benelli....

If you like your 870 when it's working, you would love an Ithaca 37

    .

A man once wrote if you don't own a Remigton 870, you don't own a shotgun. And he was right.

I have and love my Benelli SBE II. Greatest semi-auto shotgun ever made IMHO.

There's something to that. It might not be the best, but its the standard that other shotguns seem to be judged against.

Is there anything wrong with the mavericks? Im thinking about buying one to trick out for home defense.

    They are a good price.
