Post Psychopath Screening: Excluding Psychopaths from Government

Many instances of corruption and crime in government and society can be attributed to psychopaths. Sept 11 (w.t.c), Watergate, and similar historical events, for example.

We now have the capacity to realize the benefits of excluding psychopaths from such institutions, especially those of high integrity.

I would therefore like to discuss the issue of psychopathy screening protocols, their impact thus far, and ways to improve upon them.

    Oh, sweet Jeebus...

If we can screen for psychos, you would think we'd keep them off O.com.

OK, so they wanted to discuss it, but then left the topic up for discussion amongst ourselves. I think they should come up with new tests, in order to establish insanity. Apparently the old ones aren't working.

Psychopathy is a personality disorder characterized by a pervasive pattern of disregard for the rights of others and the rules of society. Psychopaths have a total lack of empathy and remorse, and have very shallow emotions. They are generally regarded as callous, selfish, dishonest, arrogant, aggressive, impulsive, irresponsible, and hedonistic.

There is no consensus about the symptom criteria for psychopathy, and no psychiatric or psychological organization has sanctioned a diagnosis of "psychopathy" itself.
