I applied for this before I started the VRA process, but what does this mean :

    Grade 07 rating IHG

IHG: minimally qualified at a higher grade for the position specified in the Vacancy Announcement therefore, you are being removed from consideration at the lower grade level.

I was rated at 98 though for grade 5, good thing I'm a VRA applicant!

Got it today, it doesn't matter though because our VRA cancels this one out.

Looks like VRA applicants and a select few from the open announcement are going through. This is how they legally selectively choose applicants I would assume, they needed to narrow down the 8000 somehow.

Yup. Received a score of 70. Oh well.

Now I wait for the AFPAQ Intel Specialist and god only knows what other agencies I've applied, but can't remember.

You'll need military most likely to get that high, anything over 100 military is needed.

To get over 100 you will need vet pref points.

The board software blanked out the word that I used for "urine." That test is still in effect.

So let me get this straight. You have to score a 100 or better to get any of the location? I applied under the announcement that ended on the 4th of november. I have not got my score back yet. Those of you that got scores did you apply under that announcement? Or was this from the VRA announcement?

I applied under the open announcement but I also was pulled for the vra status announcement. From what someone posted below it seems that they set scores at 100-105. Which means if this is true yes you would have to rate that if you don't have veterans points. I have not gotten any results from the open announcement but a few people have. Based off the info you supplied in the application manager will depend on what you "scored".

Yes, you had to score 100+ to get consideration under the open announcement that was for multiple locations. I think it was open until October 30th? I don't remember the 4th of November one, was this the same announcement that was extended? I applied under the first announcement as well as the status announcements that followed. VRA wasn't an announcement, well not for me anyway. I just e-mailed HR told them I was a veteran and would like to be considered for VRA, there was no scores, no questionnaire, all I did was e-mail them my resume and that was that and I completed the whole pre-employment process in 37 days.

Good luck on interview next week. I applied to the open announcement and emailed my dd214 and resume to an HR rep who put me in under vra as well. No score or anything for that one.

Wow, that is a very high cut off score, but keep in mind that it would be next to impossible to get 100 as a non-vet regardless of how much experience you have.

Honestly I knew something like this would happen. Basically a lot of these entry level federal LE jobs are being flooded with applications from highly skilled 5-10pt preference eligible veterans. The same thing happened with the HSI 1811 announcement and I imagine with the end of FCIP, non-vets will have to focus on excepted service federal LE positions.

I applied under the open announcement that closed 11/4.. non VRA applicant, I'm a bit confused about those of you receiving NORs, is that for VRA applicants only? I did not receive anything regarding this position since my application status changed to "application received" on 10/20

My suggestion if you cant get vet points is to apply to the BOP and get status then apply for where you want to go. BOP stops the clock for you and you get status.
