    Civilian Taser carry in Minnesota

The wife is going to Minnesota next week and I want her to bring the Taser I bought her. What do I need to know as far as carrying a Taser in Minnesota? She's not on the job (I am) so it would be civilian carry. Is this legal in Minnesota?

Thanks for the help and be safe!

I did. However, I'd prefer she carry the Taser. It has better immediate stopping power and can be used and carried in a wider range of circumstances.

Here are some applicable MN statutes that I found for you.

Make sure she doesn't have it if she drives over the river to Wisconsin. I believe possession of one is a felony. Chapter 939.22 Wisconsin state law.

Pretty sure it's legal. The only thing I wouldn't know about is transporting on an airline. As someone else said, "don't bring it into Wisconsin." Here, she should be good.

It is a felony in Wisconsin but the chapter is 941.295. Chapter 939.22 is just definitions.
