NYPD Written Psych ?
Quick question. Im scheduled to take the NYPD written psych next week. How long should I expect to be taking the test? How many hours? How is the test broken down (3, 500 question tests)? Is there a time limit? Thanks.

Expect to spend a good part of your morning there getting ready for and taking the test, I think I was there for about 4 hours give or take. When I was there I took 2 different tests (though more than a few of the questions were the same on either test). One was about 900-1000 questions and the other was like 500something questions. There really isn't a time limit but I wouldn't dilly dally. Good luck to you!

I finished the MMPI and the CI in about 3 hours. The questions are only about 5-6 words long, so It doesnt take long to read them. Make sure your answers are accurate and consistant because the Psychologist is going to grill you on it when you go to your oral. Good Luck

Also, make sure you don't draw the person too big or too small. That means you either have a big ego or a deflated one.

hope you like answer 1000 plus questions, its really like 100 questions asked 10 times each in different ways really. and btw the desks and room at Lefrak are extremely roomy. By extremely roomy I mean I was pretty much cuddling with the sweaty guy next to me.

I drew a baseball player for my guy, that seemed to go over well. I wouldn't recommend drawing a guy with any kind of weapon or anything like that. My tree was pretty simple and my house was basically a crappily (sp?) drawn version of my house but it seemed to go over well.
