    MSP hiring process?????

Does anyone have any current info on the process? I'm waiting for the interview. It seems things have slowed up considerably, the process seemed quick up to this point.

Not sure but last I heard they were starting a class for April. So it may be slower because they don't know when the next class will be after that. Don't hold me to it though.

According to the orientation I went to, they are looking to hire 70-80 people for a June or July academy.

I'm scheduled for my FFAT and written test on 3/23.

Just remember, when they say June-July there is a possibility it could be sooner than that. It all depends on how many applicants they prepare for the Academy. Only time will tell.

on tuesday they said that the normal time line takes about six months. also could take as long as eight. it all depends on the next academy.

Passed my polygraph, waiting to take the oral. Last I heard from my polygraph examiner, they are pushing for a class in may, then a second class for june/july.

Took my FFAT and written on 2/9, have'nt heard anything else and the process came to an abrubt stop. My app was sent in 1/20, had to send some additional stuff on 2/20. My BI did say that they were looking at about 500 app and it would take about at least another month till I heard about the Poly & Oral. It seems some guys process has moved rather quickly and I'm wondering if I got put in the questionable pile, maybe my age.

When I interviewed, I was the only one there that day. I met with the Barrack Command, Asst Commander and Duty Officer. I arrived early, let the DO know why I was there (Be sure to have your Driver's License). Did the mandatory stand around time and then was escorted back to a room. They sat on one side of the table, I sat on the other.

They will ask you questions about honesty, integrity, job experience, academic experience, level of fitness, etc. The want to see that you can be comfortable but respectful while speaking with them. Be confident, not arrogant. You will more than likely be nervous. Don't let it show too much. They will give you scenarios of how to act or react in certain situations. Be prepared to ask a question or two if they allow you to. However, don't ask a question you could have researched and found out the answer to yourself, like "What is the starting pay?"

    Hope this helps

Does anybody know if MSP will be testing in July or August? I am hoping to get into a class in 2010, am currently out of the country, and will be back for a two month window this summer. Best of luck to you all going through the process.

Thanks for the response. I will get in touch with them when I am back in July.
