Akron PD Seasonal Officers

I just saw on the news that APD is looking to hire seasonal officers to work weekends throughout the summer. OPOTA certificate holders will be put through an accelerated, 6 week academy. Might be a good way to get your foot in the door if your intersted in APD.

Found a link from the Beacon.

seasonal officers

The Mayor is yet trying to start something under ther Charter City Rule, much like the Home Rule.....THe way the city wants to do the hiring, I do not see how the workers will have any protection....for lawsuits...accidents, shootings...etc.....
