OHP Cars

I'm just curious, I've applied to the Highway Patrol, do they have take homes? Do they have individually assigned cars, but park them at the posts?

I am not a trooper, and I'm sure one on here can give you a sure answer, but from what I know, some do have take home cars depending on seniority and such.

Each post has a certain number of cars. You have to be within 30 miles of the post to get a car. If the post has 20 cars the top 20 guys in seniority that live within 30 miles get a take home car if they want it.

This applies only to Troopers. Sergeants and brass all get their own cars.
