Yeah, I was pretty interested in getting mine, considering I usually score well on these tests and the department I tested for is very short-staffed and has high turnover (a lot of people use it as a stepping-stone around here). However, I just got in with a LE agency around here, so I really don't care about the results.
I'm still curious to see how I did, though.

Another one that you will see quite often is LEO, which stands for Law Enforcement Officer.
Here is a list of acronyms and abbreviations that they put together on another message board:

I noticed the GPD Special Police patch in your info, have you been with them long? I used to work security at the mall there, awhile back.

Could I ask you what your raw score was on the exam? I know I got a 90 because I recieved my score back from Rome a month ago but I would like to get an idea of what my ranking might be in Rochester.

I actually got a 90 also..so,I dunno how they do the placement if someone got the same score. I am assuming, we would fall in the same placement..but not sure.

80...........I was kinda upset at first glance but there are some good points. I got a 70 last year and I not a that badly ranked 482. Also Rpd is trying to put together 2 academys maybe a 3rd I heard. They are gonna need to dip down to the 85 for the first academy.

How are you applying there? I see you live in Attica, so you're not eligible to take the Monroe County exam - how were you canvassed?
edit: This post sounded accusatory, I didn't mean it to come off that way. I just know that the towns you speak of generally only take lateral transfers or hire off the county list, that's all.

Yes i live in attica mailing address but i live on the alexander border which is genesee county....the guildlines for RPD was monroe ,genesee and a couple other ones. so i do qualify as well as i will be moving back to monroe county in june .
some of them let you take the tests but you have to live in the county before or 30 days after being appointed

Right, but Ogden and Gates hire off the Monroe County list, which you need to have residency 4 months before taking the test - at least that's the way it was when I was living there.

You have to live in the county when you get hired, but you don't have to live there when you take the test. Have to live in a contingent county.

I could have sworn it was 4 months prior residency.
