Chautauqua County

Any one from Chaut? I grew up in Sherman, but wound up elswhere as an adult. The military got me out-west and dropped me off. I decided to not come back except to visit, and buy some Genny, every few years.

I heard there was someone who bought it. Must be you.

Please tell me it's not Cream Ale.

Yup, cream ale.

When you grow up having something, then live where it's not available... I think its mostly sentimental.

Plus, I live where beer is regulated to 3.2% alcohol. Unless I go on the Base to get the stronger stuff, but no one carries Genny 'cause we're out of the 3-state area.

Genny Cream Ale is probably the most disgusting beer I've ever tasted. Love them Genny screamers, eh?

No, the worst beer is a toss-up between schlitz, schmidtz, and carling black label.

I'm kind of partial to genny cream ale.

A couple of years ago there was a management lead buy-out of the brewery. It's now csalled High-Falls Brewery. They have stated that they will continue to make the old standards (Cream Ale, Genny Light) while adding some newer brews.

They seem to be doing OK. Funny how this has morphed into a beer thread.

I haven't had the Genny Screamers since college, but I sure do remember them. Never Again.

Back in the day, if you worked for either Kodak, Xerox, Rochester Products (later Delphi) or Genesee Brewing Company, you had yourself a great job.

More than I can say now... This coming from a former Delphi employee, too.

Genny

The only time I ever have Genny is when I go over to my uncle's house. I didn't even know they still sold that stuff. But it isn't that bad.

Has anyone got their results from the exam yet, and does anyone know how many people they are going to hire? Thanks

We've gone from speaking about hometown beer to insulting people. Not really necessary, is it?

How's Gerace's dept going these days?

For EMT

My response wasn't to attack anyone. I'm sick of EMT thinking he knows everything....If the rest of you want to buy into his cocky attitude, go ahead. I have several other posts of him degrading people, or telling them they are wrong.

Excuse me! I don't know him, OR YOU, from Adam. I'm not familiar either of you, but I'll remember you from now on. Don't want to step on anyone's toes, but maybe insults should be kept private.

Again, I wasn't attacking anyone. I have been getting PM from different people telling me to ignore EMT, he's a know it all....I'm going to take that advice... Atleast it's not me....Remembering me is a good thing, I'll always be around...

Stay safe!!!!

I don't know. I'm stranded in the land of 3.2% beer.
