Question Retired NYPD getting ID cards yet?

I have heard that retired NYPD are not getting ID cards issued lately because of their fear of HR218 and its possible effect on city liability. Any one retire lately and get an ID card?

I am going to be back up there this summer and I was hoping to get a new ID card as mine is getting old but I won't go in if they are going got take mine from me.

Supposedly the latest ID card has the computer chip and you can get one. They had stopped for some reason but it was only temporary and didn't last long. Call the I.D. section at 1PP.

If you live OOS the ID means nothing afa HR 218 anyway. You have to qualify to the standards where you reside.

Oh ok. Thanks. I will probably get one of the new ones then when I go there.

I know the ID card means nothing regarding HR218 but it is still worth something sometimes

You have to turn in the old one and the guys who have the green ones don't want to give them up.
