We are going to switch all of our reports to it come Jan. 1st, 2006. My department sent me to a training event in Cadiz, Ohio. Then they made me the software administrator

and made me show our department how to use it.
It takes some time getting used to it, but it gets easier with every report you do. The easiest way to learn it is to just start entering reports while following along with the pdf manuals. The training videos were kind of difficlut to follow.
With it on our car laptop we can just take the laptop to the scene and print the report out back at the station. I think it will even be easier with the driver's license scanner.
It takes the guess work out of what is required and what can be left blank on the reports.
It makes crash reports easier with the exception of the diagramming. The crash diagram software they have is still a pain. I found it easier to just draw the diagram and scan it into the computer and attach it as the first image. The software puts it right into the diagram box.
Some of our officers kind of got upset because it means changing the way they do their reports. I'm not sure if thats a software problem or an issue with the officers filling out the reports wrong for too many years

I'm still a newb LEO to be sure to make a firm judgement.
