Just bought a Glock 30

Well, I bought myself a Glock 30 yesterday, along with a couple of extra magazines (so I have four total), and a case of ammo. I've been impressed with my Glock 27, and since I'm a fan of the .45 ACP cartridge, the Glock 30 seemed to be a good idea.

Anyone else have one? What are your thoughts?

I had one, didn`t like it. It didn`t fit my hand well and the recoil beat my hand up. That kind of surprised me as I like .45s. I traded it for a Sig P245. You just have to shoot it and see if you like it.

This one fits my hand very well, but I've always liked the idea of a 'fat' gun. I actually fired a friend's Glock 30 a couple of years ago, and it seemed comfortable to shoot, and was very accurate. Now that I've got my own, I will get to work with it more extensively.

The 30 has faster shot to shot capability and tighter lockup than the full size Glocks (this goes for all the mini glocks) due to the dual recoil spring system used. All glocks regardless of caliber recoil more than a balanced steel frame (1911A1) guns but it is manageable. Look into getting a ghost rocket trigger assembly installed it makes a big difference in trigger reset and feel. If your'e gonna get a Glock in the great .45 auto caliber the 30 is the way to go.
