The Norridge Board of Fire & Police Commissioners is accepting applications for Police Officer Candidates starting Feb 18, 2002 at 9;00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, Wed & Sat 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Completed application must be returned to the Norridge Village Clerk by Sat. April 6, 2002 at 1:00 PM. Norridge is an equal opportunity employer.

Applicant must be a United States citizen, have a high school diploma of graduation, 21 years old at the time of the Orientation and not have reached his/her 35th birthday at the time of posting the Final Eligibility List of Candidates. (A. Exception for 20 years of age who has successfully completed 2 years of Law Enforcement studies at an accredited college or University. B. Certified Auxiliary Officer who has 5 yrs with an Illinois

Municipality to 39 yrs. C. Certified Police Officer who served an Illinois Municipality no age limit.) Credit points for Veterans and higher education as per Illinois State Statutes to establish the Final Eligibility List. Must have a valid drivers license and be of good moral character and must meet additional requirements as set forth by the Norridge Board of Fire & Police Commissioners.

Salary - $37,000 to $56,627/yr., $49.311 upon completion of 18 month probation.

Benefit package valued at approx. $19,000/year includes overtime, vacation. 9 paid holidays, sick leave, uniform allowance, paid Medical & Dental insurance, perfect attendance incentive, pension, education reimbursement.
