Manages and directs all police department functions for the City (over 103,00 pop). Executes directives of the Mayor and City Council. Must be able to maintain excellent public relations and establish and aggressively execute measurable crime reduction goals. Ability to work complex budget, personnel and material resources issues. Must have strong conflict resolution skills. B.S. Degree in Police Science or related field, or equivalent training and experience, plus 10 years law enforcement experience. Sr. Level municipal police experience desired. Starting salary $57,500 negotiable to $71,900 depending on experience. (Salary range:$57,500 to $86,300).
