Hi,

I applied for the FBI's Investigative Specialist position a few months ago when the listing came out in July. Yesterday, I got a call asking if I wanted to come into an interview.

What do these guys actually do? I saw the little blurb about them on the website, and it didn't tell me anything I didn't already know. I tried to find the job description, but it's been pulled since the listing has closed.

Anybody else get calls for this gig? Is it a good job? It's a GS7-9, so the pay isn't horrible, but probably could be better if they basically do a lot of surveillance work.

Anybody else out there still in the running for this job? I've completed the interviews, polygraph, medical, and currently have a background investigator assigned to me. Just looking to see if there is anyone else out there.

sounds like an interesting gig from what I have read. Anyone know how often they hire for these positions?

They had an opening back in July, which is what I applied for. So far the FBI has been very quick, for the government at least, in processing me and I'm hoping to get hired sometime very soon. Anyone know of any dates for the training classes for this position?
