You're kidding, right??? I didn't know that there were states that do not allow their policemen to carry a gun off duty. Amazing.
Are there other states like Kansas?

Come to Europe. I think carrying a gun off duty is permitted in every country in Europe. Only for special reasons (drug detectives etc.) one might have a pistol. For uniforms no gun off duty.

Amazing. What are the requirements to become a policeman in Finland?
-- age (minimum-maximum)
-- educational level (college required? How much?)
-- how clean does an applicant's record have to be
-- how long is police training (6 months? 2 years?)
Please feel free to talk about more information about the Fin or European police.
