Is the CHP currently hiring?
What opportunities do I have considering I currently possess a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology?
The fact that I can apply online makes it so tempting...

CHP is always hiring. The degree will earn you an additional 5% of your base salary. It's pretty sweet. I have been in the hiring process for the last 8 months. CHP is a great agency, and provided I passed my Psyc. Interview last Friday, I will be academy bound in November.

CHP is very high speed and have some of the best pay/benefits in LE. CHP has it's own forum, google CHPForums for a ton of info.
Also - I think they are now mostly working 3/12's. Expect to work in LA or San Fran for the first few years, then transfer to anywhere in CA...very big/diverse state.

This is for Officers. I would like to see the breakdown if you promote a few times. I bet it looks pretty nice:D
I'm also glad to see that CHP is switching over to 12 hour days. I hope to get my academy invite soon!!!

Oh yeah, easily +100K. That 12 hours days is what I like the most. I will not apply since I'm pretty much set up, but being a former police officer, it is a great package.
