What have you carried over your time as an armed person. This query includes all citizens, not just leo's.
I will start.
My only duty gun has been a Glock 17, 9mm.
Back-up guns have included, Glock 27, Glock 26, Smith 342, Smith 37, Sig 380, North American Arms 22mag, Beretta 22lr and a player to be named later. http://www.officer.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Off-duty, all of the above at one time or another, plus a Glock 30, and a Taurus 41 magnum.
My ultimate back-up has always been my Remington 870, with rifle sights, speedfeed stocks, side saddle and a 20" barrel. It is so darn heavy that it is almost a crew served weapon. It has 16 rounds on it. http://www.officer.com/ubb/smile.gif
Lets have some fun,
Mikey

First duty weapon, S & W model 19 with six inch barrel. LOVED THIS GUN!
First off duty, backup S & W model 10 with 2" barrel. (IMHO POS)
S & W model 28. Changed to the Ruger, as the K frame was too big for my hand to be comfortable
Ruger .357 can

I started with a Smith .38 with a five inch barrel. That was difficult to find an off-duty holster for. I think Frederick PD (MD) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police were the only agencies to carry the weapon.
When I came down here, I was issued another Smith .38. This was fairly replaced by a Ruger Service Six.
Years later we went to the SIGSauer P226 which I still carry. I have a 228 as an off duty gun, but I almost always carry the service pistol. I bought a P239 as a back-up, but that proved to be a little heavy and big for concealment (advice on the issue welcomed).
I have bought a couple of Chief Specials over the years for use as off duty (early years) and back-up (more recently) weapons. I never qualified with or carried either before I sold them (and, yes, I should have kept one to resolve that back-up gun issue).
The Remington 870 is the usual cruiser gun, though I have brought the Colt AR15 in 9mm out. If the AR was .223, it would be my primary long gun.
There's also a S&W 5906, a Glock 17, and a Ruger Spped Six in the gun safe, but I have never used them as duty weapons. (Dang, I shouldn't have posted that before the elections results are in.)
Be safe.

Duty weapon: Glock 19, with Ranger SXT's
small enough to carry off-duty, but once in a while, I carry my Kel-Tec (PT-111?). It's a 9mm also, but very small. I have a belt clip on it, so no holster and very easy to conceal.

Forst anyone who starts their list with an auto is showing their age, YOUNG!
I started with an S&W M-19 (loved it)
then an S&W M-686 (loved it more), then an S&W M-5906 (hated it). My current duty weapon is a SIG P220, .45 auto which I have a sentimental attachment to becuase it's the only one I ever really used, if you know what I mean. I also carried several J-frame Smith's which are great little guns. My favorite though, is any 1911 I can get my hands on. I wish I could convince my department to allow these for duty not just off-duty. Any ideas??

Yeah, especially if they went to work for the Illinois State Police 30+ years ago and their first duty weapon was a S&W Model 39 9mm.

Actually we had the option of buying an autoloader or being issued a flintlock. Since the powder can get wet on the flintlock I went for the auto. http://www.officer.com/ubb/tongue.gif

First issued weapon was S&W SIGMA .40 which I hated because it would always misfire and malfunction
Second issued (trade in sigma and more money) was GLOCK 22 .40
Third issued when I switched departments is currently S&W 4043 .40 good weapon but only 11 in the mags
My department is looking at the GLOCK 22 .40 or the S&W/WALTHER 99 .40 to switch to.
Long guns include
Remington 870 shotgun
AR-15
Remington .22 with scope

I started out with a 4" S&W .38 cal as a duty weapon (CHP issue).
I had a 2" .357 Mag. as off-duty.
I started carrying a Beretta Centurian 9mm as off-duty.
I carried a Sig Sauer P226 9mm as a duty weapon (VCSD issue).
I switched to the Sig Sauer P220 .45 as my optional duty weapon and carried a S&W Airweight as back-up and occasional off-duty.
There was always a Remington 870 in the patrol car.
Since I'm retired and working in the personal security business, I carry the Sig Sauer P220 with the S&W Airweight as back-up and keep a Mini-14 in my POV.

I'm not fortuneate enough to be in Law Enforcement just yet, but thanks to Kentucky's Conceal Deadly Weapons permits I've always got a walther PPK chambered in .380ACP tucked into my waist band. Hm... I guess my list is going to be a lot shorter :)
SIG-Sauer P 225 at my first agency
HK P2000 at my second (current) agency
(both on and off-duty)
HK MP-5 in both jobs
I have a privately owned SIG-Sauer P 228 which I'm not allowed to carry though, so it's pretty much a range gun only. I'm looking into buying a HK P7 right now.

My only duty gun has been a Glock 17, 9mm.
Forst anyone who starts their list with an auto is showing their age, YOUNG!
Not Necessarily My first duty weapon was a 1911 A-1 Army MP
M-60,M-16 A-1. I've carried several 1911's to include 1 Charles Daley, 1 Kimber CDP, 1 Kimber Custom target, 1 Para Ord LDA CCW, 1 Kahr K-40, Current duty weapon is a 92D. Off duty I normaly carry the LDA but I'm thinking of reaquainting myself with the K-40.
