State Fire & Arson Investigators and Drug/Narcotics Investigators

Just wondering if anyone on this forum has any experience with the State Fire Marshal as a Criminal Investigator or knows anything about the job? Just looking to get some info about employment opportunies.


Also, I did search and didn't find much, but I was wondering if their were any state, county, or local agencies in Florida that mainly focus on and investigate drug/narcotics crimes (compairable to the DEA but only on a statewide level).

FDLE is laying Officers off from what I read.

I think FDLE is hiring, haven't heard anything about them laying people off (at least not sworn). Could be wrong. I've known people that work the arson job, and they seem to like it.

Are they letting people go, or just closing some open/vacant positions?
