Anyone on the California forums a university police officer? I've always had an interest in being an LEO at a university, and I'm looking to possibly apply to a few in CA.

Where do you work?
How do you like it?
Pros and Cons of working at your university/of working for a school in general?
How is they pay/benefits compaired to other local agencies?
Do you keep pretty busy (bounce call to call), or do you have a lot of free time?

Thanks for your time!

I have two friends I used to work with that lateralled over to cal state univ. pd after being municipal police officers. Within two years they both made sgt, the pay is decent and the retirement system and educational incentives are great.

a lot of free proactive time except those frat partys. you take a lot of theft and vandalism reports. if you like working overtime you can work at other campus events ie: football games, concerts, ect.

just depends on what you are looking for.
