Does anyone know what the top pay is for RSO LE dep position and how long it takes to get their if you have a BA. I cannot find any info on their pay plan other than starting pay on their website. Also does anyone know if they get to get the medical like the LASD does after retirement? Thanks

Lifetime medical for service related retirement is not currently one of their benefits. I asked an RSO deputy this very same question a few days ago. For the other info. you're after, you'll need to go to the County's human resources web site and search under job descriptions:

Top step deputy gets about 35.00 dollars an hour with bachelors. Takes about 6 years to get it because you get a step increase every year at your hire date. No lifetime medical, you will pay into calpers for the first three years. Top pay won't be the same because I think we have like 3 more raises in this current contract. For better breakdown of all the pay steps go to Riverside sheriffs association website and click pay chart.
