Not attending the Academy this go around, still waiting for another position to open up with Sitka PD (or elsewhere where I can test). But if you folks want to meet up drop me a PM.

If y'all can't reach me on the phone during the day, you'll find me working over at Orion Sporting Goods (only gun store in town). Best of luck with the Academy guys!!!

The runs arent so bad. Its just a mix of everything we do that takes the toll. Calisthenics and cardio. For long periods, until your literally sweating .40 cal bullet sized beads of sweat. We're a week in now. 14 more to go for us municipal guys!

I just heard that the Troopers started with 14 recruits...that's not many...and they've already lost 3. Don't know if that's true or not, but for those who are thinking about the Troopers this means they are going to be looking hard for new recruits, which could be good news for us :D

Sounds about right....We've lost 4 since we started....Just lost another one today...

Question....What is causing them to drop out that you know of? Maybe I should re apply to the troopers.

Ha ha! Don't let them hear that! You'd better hope none of the corporals log on here! Should I send a link to the SGT??? (evil grin) When I was there one of the Corporals heard someone saying that the "death aerobics" weren't so bad. LOL! EVERYONE got worked to muscle failure several times over the next morning.

I bet those corporals don't have the guts to make those workouts harder. I dare them to. In fact I double dare them to! They barely can talk loud enough to hear. In fact I bet you don't have the guts to send this to the Sgt!

I guess I'm lucky I'm not there. :D

I'm always generous when it doesn't cost me anything. When my kid was graduating from the USAF Sere Specialist school they asked us parents if we had any questions and I raised my hand and asked, "is it really true that Airman _______ can do more push ups than any other SERE Specialist?" they said they weren't sure but they would try to prove it.

They then ordered him to the front of the room and dropped him. It was lovely. It was the best payback a dad could ever have for all the crap he gave me.

Recruit (in my best Nicholson voice), you have no idea how good you've got it! You missed SJ cafeteria food! Seriously, from everyone I've talked to, you guys have much better food.
