Places to donate stuff in Westchester County

So, my mom has finally surrendered to the call of the south... she is moving to Ft. Lauderdale like all good aged New Yorkers do. I'm up in "Suburb City" for a couple of days (and will return when the buyers sign the contract for her lovely garden apartment) but have no idea where to donate surplus furniture, food and toiletries in the 914... please help a sister out.
