Reinstated

anyone from Honolulu PD left the department and then decided to return? If so, was it a pain to be reinstated and what pay grade were you given upon your return. I've asked HRD and was told to submit a TO/FROM to the Maj. of HRD. He's got the ultimate answer. I left the dept. in good standing but I'm worried that I'm running out of time. If I don't get reinstated by Oct I'll have to attend the full academy again. Any insight will help

From what I have seen, everyone that has left in good standing and returns within 1 year are getting their jobs back right where they left off, with I believe a short time in FTO (2 weeks?).

If you left monies in the retirement system and then come back after 1 year, I believe you get your time to retirement but have to do a modified academy time and FTO.

If they say you have until Oct then I think you should be good to go if you left in good standing.
