I am just curious on whom receive better benefits, I know that state trooper salary is higher.

Probably NYSP, but by benefits what do you mean? health benefits?
When it comes to health insurance from the NYC govt the best health insurance they offer is vytra in my opinion.

NYSP
120 hours of vacation annually, up to a maximum of 224 hours, depending on length of service.
12 annually paid holidays.
24 to 40 paid personal leave hours based on length of service.
Paid sick leave accumulating at the rate of 104 hours per year.
Excellent health, dental, and optical insurance coverage.
All uniforms and equipment are provided, including dry cleaning services for uniforms.
NYPD
* 10 Paid vacation days your first year(Really is 9 because 1day has to be used to go qualify at the range)
* 27 Paid vacation days after 5 years of service
* Unlimited sick leave with full pay
* A choice of paid medical programs
* Prescription, dental, and eye glass coverage
* Annuity fund
* Deferred Compensation Plan, 401K and I.R.A.
* Optional retirement at one half salary after 20 years of service
* Annual $12,000 Variable Supplement Fund (Upon retirement)

With the NYPD you pay for all your uniform and equipment except for Duty Weapon,Vest,ammunition.

PBA dissented on the opinion. They did not vote for that. The neurtal arbitrator and the city agreed on the package.
If you open up the award on the PBA website you will see where they wrote they disagree with the award. Supposedly they are writing a dissenting opinion but I guess it hasn't come out yet.
