Weekend update

Memorial Day Weekend went off rather well. We had the usual slew of car accidents, but the number of less severely injured was down, and disturbances to a minimum. Unfortunately I was too busy to be able to attend a single cemetery service (which I try to do every year to honor those who have served).

I usually assist the VFW with setting flags at veterans grave sites but was not able this year due to working. I had a bad feeling going in to work on Friday night, the "I should have called in sick" feeling we all hate. Well, Friday night we had 3 armed robberies and a burglary that resulted in two younger males getting shot with birdshot as they attempted to break into a store and on Saturday night we had a murder. Sunday was quiet for the most part.
