Nypd Night Diff

I was looking all over the city site and PBA site and I can't find anything anywhere so I was wondering what the rate for night diff was for a PO and the hours it applies to? Where is this information?

i think night diff runs from 1600 to 0700 as for the pay rate idk i get 92 dollars every two weeks and i work 12x2035 and 1930x0405 so do the math and figure it out

right now i'm at the 32 grand mark

Im not sure if that 92 dollars is pre tax or post tax but it seems around 7-8 %. If its post tax I would say it is around 10-11% but I still can't find anyone who actually knows the rate for sure. Even the instructors had no clue.

Its all the way on the 8th floor of the Academy and thats a lot of stairs. :)

I am assuming I will be able to calculate it once I start getting night diff, I guess I will wait till then.

As someone posted on here earlier today, when people are asking questions they expect people who are personally knowledgeable to answer questions. It is only an internet message board but some people don't have the resources you do.

I am a first generation cop and know NO ONE on this job. It helps for me to be able to go post a message and have other cops with time on give the FNG some answers.

Everything I have asked for is written somewhere and I am trying to figure out where to go and find these things on MY OWN so I don't have to rely on others. When you tell me "I know this guy who knows this guy who said its 10%, I take it for nothing unless I know who its coming from. You've posted some inaccurate info before and I just want to make sure I am getting good answers. Thats why me and some others on here have repeatedly asked for ONLY PEOPLE WHO ARE ON THE JOB to answer certain questions.

I would prefer to know how much I may be making out of the academy with night diff so I can buget my money and still continue to save rather than live paycheck to paycheck. It plays and important role in my life as I look for another place to live. Do you think thats ok with you? Is that an adequate response or do I need to wait till I get out on the street and am working mandatory OT and have no time to look for a place to live?

I am not getting further into a bickering contest with you so just stop replying to my posts if you have a problem with the questions. Thank you.

Step 1- take the test.
step 2- go through APD
step 3- do the academy
step 4- pass the academy
step 5- GET THE JOB.

Step 1: Check
Step 2: Check
Step 3: Check
Step 4: Passed everything just need to sit there picking my nose for another month, then CHECK
Step 5: Check

If you ever ACTUALLY GET THE JOB you will realize a LOT of stuff is left unanswered in the academy and a lot of info isn't readily available. But thanks for your wise-##$ remarks. I appreciate it.

I am not going to sit here and waste my time arguing with u ahole. First, I never failed the psych. Second, I am just calling it how i see it, Your a big baby. You are constantly complaining a whining and quick throw around your 5 months academy experience. You ask question you get the answer then you always harass the responder for their sources then leave some negative comment. It is almost like its becoming a trend with you. finish the academy before you start budgeting you overtime.

I don't whine about anything and I hope I have been pretty helpful to numerous people on this site providing my insight and experience as I saw it through the first few months which you will soon find is very overwhelming.

When I asked for sources it wasnt trying to be obnoxious, I was just trying to figure out where all this stuff is posted since it seems impossible to find by googling it. Its a criticism to NYC for not putting everything in one place where we can access it, not to the people who actually know the info.

The only negative comments I have left here have been in response to negative ones left in response to me.

I didn't want to get into a ****ing match so I took that post about you down about 20 minutes after I posted it. I am not sure how you were able to quote it even though you posted 3 hours after. I'm sorry I wrote that stuff about you, it was wrong and thats why I took it down.

PTLovesMe81, if you ARE in the academy the answers are right in front of you. When I went through we were assigned an officer and a sgt...I dont think that has changed, ask them. Also you can ask your PBA rep or fraternal organization. Since you only have one month left you should have had all of the organizations come down to the academy.
