Next NY Exam?

Hey guys I was a little late to register for the exam in Suffolk Sheriff but when is the next one for any department inside New York State besides NYPD?

um... typically every December near the beginning of the month. A few departments test more frequently though like the RPD, and others test every few years... but you will be able to test somewhere in New York every year. Check the NY Civil Service website and you can pull up a map and click on each county to check for exams.

I would think Court Officer would be the next in line, but I hear that won't be until sometime in 2009.

And occasionally, it's in November, a week or two before Thanksgiving.

Westchester county PD is coming up at the end of the year I believe.

I think Mount Vernon is up for a test sometime this year. Probably to coincide with the County test. White Plains and New Rochelle already gave theirs recently. Yonkers I'm not sure about, but don't even bother unless you're a resident.

Negative. Most departments give tests every two, or every four years. That is, unless they exhaust the list prior to that, then they may give it earlier.

depends on the agency.. go on their websites and they will tell you when the tests are given

NYSPP is given every year in December... they call everyone who passes....if you failed the PAT in march you get a retest in August...
