MDPD Polygraph

I had my test this morning for the Miami-Dade Police Dept with Jurney & Associates. I was 100% truthful with all of my answers but the examiner didnt tell me if I did bad or good. Is that a good thing or a bad thing when it comes to polygraphs? This is my first time taking one.

Weird that you didn't do the psychological first. Thought they made the switch already. My examiner told me right there on the spot that I did good/passed. Your results go to HQ and they make the final decision.

Same thing I'm thinking. I guess the new process applies to every one that applied after March/April.

Just wait 4 weeks and see if you hear back from them, thats normally how long it takes.

From what I remember...

(1): Have you ever smoked marijuana or used any kind of narcotic?

(2): Are you becoming an officer for acts of terorrism?

(3): Is any of the information you have provided to us so far false?

(4): Have you stolen any thing from any of your prior jobs?



They ask like 10-15 questions hooked up to the machine (polygraph) but you get a packet with like 200 questions that you need to answer YES or NO to before you get hooked up to the machine.

Yeah its pretty simple. You know if you have done something bad before or if you haven't, its all common sense. If you haven't you should get thru the poly with no problem :cool:

I have had some buddies fail polygraphs and pass others while being 100% honest. I don't know how much I trust those things. Best of luck to you ERMDPD!!!

I received a letter from the dept in the mail scheduling me for the psychological screening on June 9th, so I'm guessing I passed the polygraph

Damn, Lucky you its taking MDPD forever to even get me into the psych. Good luck, let us know how that turns out. Hopefully they get me in soon.
