Anyone know any info on their academy dates? I've done some research on previous threads and hear June/July/Oct/Nov. Can anyone bring some light into this. Also does the new Florida academy curriculum apply to them aswell? Just curious.

Yes the new academy curriculum started with them in the April class. I posted in the big Miami-Dade Police thread that the academy does not start until OCT/NOV. There is no exact date yet, when I get it I will post it.

Which is it, "always" or "once in a while"? Get a sense of humor it helps the time go by.. 34 weeks will feel like 12 years, and then add your FTO. Good luck.

I think the point he was making (but to you, trying to make) is the academy has progressively added more and more, to the point now there is so much extraneous stuff, they loose sight of teaching one how to be an officer.

Your insult was in very bad form. The idea behind the forums on this site is not to argue and insult, but to move our collective knowledge level further.

How you doing guys im new to the forum and have been reading for a few weeks now and gathered alot of useful info from everybody and thank you. I have a couple of friends of mine on the force that say the next acadamy might not be until novemeber because of some budget issues and the fact that its an election year has anyone heard any different????
