kinda? My friend does this in NJ and NY. They can pull over commercial vehicles..tractor trailers...etc etcand inspect them basically. No gun they have there own car to take home and they only report twice a week to the office. They report in via radio when they get to there duty location

Im guessing it is tough to get in.... I took the test over a year ago and have not heard of any openings... Sounds like a decent job.

I'm curious about this agency. Anyone know where more information can be found regarding employment, job specs, etc?

That is a listing from when they were hiring back in 2000, however there is some good info there.

I was asking because I took the test in January 2007, scored very well, but have not heard of any hiring or anything other than a letter asking where i would accept a job. There isn't too much info at their website either.

i could tell you one thing you need a hook for that job. The test means nothing you just need to pass it. My friend got the job through a job fair at our school which is a very unique school in a way. The guys recruiter were all alumni and were like if you want the job let us know..take the test you pass it and we'll start the training etc etc. That's how all of them got the job.

well my friend told me his daily task which is m-f and no overtime because of the salary and yuo get yuor own car that u take home. He pulls over tractor trailers...basically by the looks of the tire treads and lights. If the tire treads are too loow or signal lites are out he will pull them over. He then measures everything etc etc...but most importantly he looks at the log book.....because they are only allowed to drive a certain amount each day and if they go over they get fined huge..thuosands of dollars
