Does anyone have any info on getting hired as a Special Agent with the DEA?

Take the time to talk with agents if you can. Hopefully speak with agents that came from a PD before you make any moves. Coming from 10 years in patrol (and vice) I made the leap. A leap it was. However, I have worked in several task forces and sometimes working with the local PD there is alot of misconceptions and grandiose expectations from the PD's. Sometimes it is difficult to get PD's to understand the different mission DEA has.
