could someone explain to me, as if they were explaining this a 5 yr old the difference between tsp-1 and 3- which one they have and why they have one instead of the other?

What exactly is Tsp?
sorry,thrift savings program- i know its like a 401k i think but i dont know the difference between the two- or even if there is a difference between the two-

If you didn't find your answer yet. TSP1 is a election form which lets you start, stop, or change contributions to the TSP through your agency, basically lets you enroll in TSP, make changes etc. TSP3 is a form used to designate a beneficiary or beneficiaries to receive your civilian Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) account after your death. It's not really a seperate plan. I believe I have that right. God Bless.
