Nope, I've seen at least 1/2 our officers drive big raised trucks. They told me that if I ever needed to buy one, they have all the hook-ups.

I thought it was funny because I heard a story about a Sheltered Naive Deputy referring to another Deputy's newer BMW 7 series as a drug dealer car. I looked at the personal vehicles in the station parking lot and didn't see much of a difference between his car and the huge trucks parked in back. I must say his car was nicer. I guess if that guy making the comment made it over the hill outside of horse country he'd realize successful people drive luxury sedans as well as King Ranch Fords....lol
It’s ashamed how some of our own get so arrogant and opinionated that they put good people down without realizing it. Just wanted to poke fun at a statement made by an overly opinionated and misinformed fellow copper. One day he’ll realize that drug dealers drive everything from beat up buckets to fine luxury autos….

L8, that will come with experience and time. Maybe he needs rolled up and shipped to Cen? At least the "big truck" will fit in there :D
See, I'm a car guy. I simply love cars and trucks for what they were engineered for. A BMW 7 series is an awesome car, and really fun to drive in twisties. A Ford F450 4X4 diesel crew cab was designed to tow/haul with an occassional off-road trip. My little SUV was designed to be a beast off road or rock crawling, and a really good ride on the street (my last car was a 2003 Mustang Mach 1, a car designed for the 1/4 mile....and was VERY good at it). A Mustang Shelby GT500 was designed for a specific niche....and so on, and so on. I don't care what someone buys as their vehicle, not do I care what they do to it. It's their car, so they can modify it as they wish. Sometimes there are repercussions that follow with some of those modifications, but that is a chance the vehicle owner takes.
However, I NEVER understood LIFTING a 1985 Buick Regal to fit sparkly truck-sized rims on it (the added rollong weight will take its toll on the brakes, and after 500 miles they will no longer be able to stop). Then again, it's not my car or my money.
