What are the laws in WV regarding open carry? Is it allowed? Is it frowned upon within the state?
Another question, what are the laws regarding shooting on private property? Is there a site that lists the laws? Any officers able to shed some light on it for me?
Thanks

Open Carry is permitted, however I recommend concealed. Most people freak out when they see someone who is not a LEO carrying a handgun in plain sight. I recommend www.opencarry.org for further reference.
As far as shooting on private property. Not a problem as long as you own it or have written permission to use it from the owner for that purpose. The same laws apply to target shooting as hunting. You have to be a safe distance from roads and homes. I am not 100% sure of WV distance but you can contact the WV DER for more info. It is thier version of a game warden.
Have fun, shoot safe.
