...well, I started filling out the PHS. There is so much information to research! I am really worried, because I can't get a hold or find contact information for most of the people (especially when it asks for ex-housemates).
I've always kept to myself and didn't mingle with the people I was sharing the house with.
I'm filling it out best I can. From what I've been told, they said (my current agency) that they can run through my background in about 1-2 months.
Any tips for info hunting? I already got that report from the Social Security Office.

I had the same problem when I was applying, I had a bunch of college roommates that I never talked too and I didnt know where they lived or how to contact them... I just listed their names and said unknown and when the background officer asked me I told them why I didnt know. You just gotta make a reasonable effort to track the people down..

Yea, making a good effort to try and dig these folks. Unfortunately, people pick and move also. Oh well. :o

A lot of us have been in your shoes.....here is my recommendation.
Your BI should have told you that you need to take an active role in your investigation. What you need to do is document what YOU DID to attempt to find your prior roommates. What search engines did you use to try to find them on the internet (that worked well enough for me), did you call their prior places of employment, send a letter to their last known address, etc?
It will not look good if the BI can find these people with a little effort.
So, when you write that you could not find them, list what you did in your attempt to.
good luck...
