I am allergic to cats, and there are very few things that work. My suggestion is getting the Ionic filters put one in your bed room for sure and if you can afford more than one put them in the areas you spend the most time, and new filters on your furnace. and for more information check out http://cats.about.com/od/allergiesandcats/a/allergictocat.htm

Development of Allergies to environmental variables is rare in adults (Are you that lucky?)

Look at other variables. Have your home vent and duct system cleaned, Carpets cleaned. Check appliances like your hot water heater Pilot light for proper venting.

Opthamologists are eye doctors, not slamming the guy by any means but there are a lot of more plausable scenarios that Adult Allergy Development.

When I was K-9 I started having problems with my eyes when I was on patrol. I went to the MD, who opined I was allergic to dogs. I grew up with 3 dogs in the house and was well aware I was not allergic to dogs. I got my boss to have the ducts in the kennel/office building cleaned and my problems went away. the dog dandruff was not my problem, but all the creepy mold and bacteria living on the dandruff and hair in the vents was getting to me.

By cause and effect getting rid of the pets would probably solve a problem like this, as the influx of new hair and skin cells would stop and the allergens would starve, making it seem as if the animal was the problem.

I bet people get rid of a lot of pets unnessicarily this way.

Can he handle an animal at a pet store? and does he have symptoms at other people's homes with pets?
