I have a question for the FHP guys, if I apply for the FHP do they put me around were I live now? or I have to move? Thx

If you live in Broward, there is a good chance you will stay around Broward county. Miami Dade needs a lot of troopers. You might have to move closer to the duty station.

Thx, On FHP can you go up in positions or is it limited.

More and more they do their best to put you where you want to be but it is by no means a certainty.

Right now we have Cpl. positions (traffic homicide), and of course after you have enough time on you can go for a Sgt. position.

Col. Czernis is looking at some sort of senior trooper or master trooper position for those guys with tenure but that is only being 'looked at' right now.

There are always other positions such as PIO, motors, background investigators for applicants, etc that give you something else to get into but may not give you any more money or rank.
