Sir,I do remember your last name but am respectfully w/holding it.
I was the guy [early december 07]on the santa monica freeway/I10 headed
west bound @ around 0300 hrs in the brand new black wrx-sti w/paper tags .

I as well as you ended up about a ml. east of the I 405 south interchange at which point you politely directed me via your units' P.A. system to exit the last off ramp before aforementioned I 405 choices.

As we were on a very deserted I-10 this spot was even more empty of any activity. Thus,i turned it off,lit up my dome, put 2 hands[w/fingers interlocked]on top of my wheel, asking permission before all movements for the paperwork etc...

113 mph [albeit for just a second ]in a 65 was not only
a danger to myself but more importantly to you.Empty freeway or not ,it did not matter as other drivers were potentially at risk. The fact that this new vehicle is very deceiving in its inertia to driver DOES NOT make anything over the limit acceptable ! My being a recent transplant from ohio to california is a moot point as well.

I am writing this to 1.express my gratitude for the discretion you used.I would not have given such a pass had i been in your boots. I would've gone with the 100 mph + reckless op.+ all that the charge implies i.e. A felony
detainment as well as impounding of my motor vehicle.
2. I want you to know your words ''this thing is dangerous'' is actually something i remember often.I admit it was funny at first but it is true for such a stock rally race car.
Speed is meant for the track.I love this car with all my heart as ive never loved a vehicle but it takes maturity to drive it safely.
Its easy to speed in such a machine & any jerk can do just that .
A real driver keeps it under & in control at all times using proper heal toe shifting/ rev matching. Thus, not letting it ''get away'' from operator.
3rd. and last thing.Your Traffic stop that late night caused me to re evaluate
my judgement.
I punished myself out of guilt by garaging her for 7 days.
I obviously still have growing up to do as several months of a thought process change is not acceptable.
I have zero points/clean dmv record,
and you were well w/ in your duty to change that ,due to my stupidity. From the bottom of my heart sir Thank you for the pass that night.

Hmmm, I almost forgot that this forum is a coffee shop stop for every sworn peace officer in the country.

Give it time bro. He'll get the message.

I dunno, sounds more like a boast, than an apology to me. I'm a firm believer, that "verbal warnings" rarely change a motorist's driving habits, especially the ones driving faux burners. Prove me wrong, will ya?

hmm. you're a sworn officer but not employed in the LE industry and you resigned LEO but still have powers on the east coast?

this was not a CHPper that pulled you over, was it? i find it hard that a CHPper would let you go esp for going almost double the limit.

That profile is BS. He resigned from being a correctional officer or bailiff in 2002 and claims he has peace officer powers back east, but lives in CA? Riiiiiiight.

Late, cold night, and you were doing 113 when stopped by CHP. You're a jailer too and he didn't even cuss you out.... Humm Something smells fishy....
