planning to take the chula vista police officer exam. inquiring if composing an essay is required on the exam. thanks

Are they even hiring? I thought that they had a money issue.

The first step of the process is a standard fill in the bubble POST test...no written essay. After that will be the physical agilities testing. The top candidates that pass those two tests are then brought in to start interviews and then backgrounds. At some point in the process (after interviews) there used to be a test where you watched a video and had to write a short summary of what occurred....I think they still do that but not positive.

thanks alot for the info. they are hiring. the deadline for turning in the application is march 3.the exam is march 21/22.

if the process is still the same , then you will do a written essay before your background interview. you'll watch a video and write about it.
