My BI at SDSO scheduled me for a Lieutenants interview a few weeks from now. What can I do to prepare for this interview? Also how different is this from the oral board?

I would think this would depend on the department. I had my lieutenant's oral interview a few months ago. The questions they asked were different than the ones they asked for being a police officer.

Don't forget, a lieutenant is generally the first line of management so your answers may need to be directed that way. It's about leadership, organizational skills, completed staff work, discipline, etc.

I would not even sweat this interview. Just relax. I took this interview about 7 months ago and there was like 16 or so questions. None of the questions were earthshattering but there was some scenerio questions regarding ethincs and workplace issues. Just answer the questions and dont change your answers. Also there was a question about how you can relieve stress. An answer such as working out was a good answer. Hey good luck and I am sure you will do fine.

Is a conditional offer for LE or detentions provided after the interview? Thank you for the responses. :)

You will take your voice stress test the same day. Just remember, the most important thing is "officer safety!" It's easy, think ethics also.
